Begs the question- Considering that the technological problems been solved, Why have LFTR's NOT been built?
Answer- Would LFTR's destroy the existing nuclear industry and its military bedfellows? I have always believed that plutonium production for weaponry has been the dark underlying motive in uranium fission, NOT electrical power generation. Is it true that every nation with reactors (except Canada) also has fission or fusion weapons? And Canada sold the technology to rogue states, anyway...
Vested interests have ALWAYS found ways to defeat new & better technologies, should these threaten the money train; how can the powers of economic evil be overcome?
