Flex blue : it is a concept of underwater nuclear power plant studied in France by Areva, EDF, and the Atomic Energy Commission.

"highly prospective", as said experts, or interesting idea, as the floating power plants built by Rosatom ?

Funny I was just yesterday reading about the Generation IV Super Critical Water Reactor. This operates at above 22MPa.

My thinking is no way do you want to try and operate a nuclear plant at those pressures, unless you put your plant 2,200m below the sea bed.

If you use a solid moderator (BeO2 or Be2C?) and clean salt or lead coolant, you can have a safe low pressure reactor core.
The boilers and turbines are in any case designed for required pressures.
