Yeah, and that presentation by Robert doesn't even take into account population growth. 10 billion people using 6000 kWh electricity/year means 60 PWh. Which is 60,000 TWh or 60,000,000 GWh or 60,000,000,000 MWh or 60,000,000,000,000 kWh.

We'll need at least 10 TWp of nuclear plants. Using modern LWRs with centrifuge enrichment this is 1.5 million tonnes uranium per year. From the nuclearinfo website, 40 billion tonnes uranium is available with EROEI 16 to 32. This represents 1/1,000 of the total uranium in the crust, but probably no more than 1/1,000,000 of the crust's volume as uranium is log-normally distributed. This resource should last 26,000 years @ 10 TWe nuclear, and we haven't entered MSRs in the equasion yet...
