From the UK and friends...

TRISO fueled, graphite moderated
Helium primary coolant
Nitrogen secondary to aeroderivative turbine for power, plus 710C process heat.
10MWth/4MWe per reactor in paired units.

Claim no cooling water, but that nitrogen compressor precooler looks suspiciously like a water final heat dump

Working the low end of the SMR marketplace, or going all in for multi-unit facilities with factory production?

The U-Battery is very similar to the Chinese HTR-10 or the X-energy reactor. The only real difference seems to be the power conversion system, which is He-N2 based.

The He-N2 turbine is said to be relatively close to an air turbine, but has such a turbine ever been developed, with a working prototype and such ?

Rod Adams was a proponent of closed cycle direct nitrogen cooled reactors using nitrogen turbines (which almost by definition are aero-derivative). I suppose that might be one of the more recent activities.

But he didn't build actual nitrogen turbines, though turbine industry folks mostly agree that a frame-F gas turbine derivative would be fairly feasible without huge R&D, as air is mostly nitrogen. Close analogues would be any indirect fired turbine setup (wherever you use really dirty fuel you can't send through a gas turbine combustor directly).
