There is a lot of politics about uranium and other nuclear materials. Indians had to work for decades without nuclear imports. In spite of the present possibly temporary easing of restrictions, a thorium breeder remains the real target of development. Getting more energy from less of mined nuclear fuel will be a wise policy for many.
