Provide Funding for Liquid-Fluoride Thorium Reactor (LFTR) Research and Development for Energy Independence.

This petition went live 3 days ago, it will need 25,000 signatures by November 5th to be sent to the White House for review. It has received 43 votes in about 17 states thus far.

1232 members on this site would make a HUGE dent in the 25,000 needed!

I signed it, too.

But something tells me it's not going to go anywhere...

Exposure is a good thing. So far 22 states have had people sign. If people continue to discuss it, I feel strongly word will get out.

Find me on these sites for events and posts to share and discuss via social media:

A buddy from my UT Austin physics days signed it too.

I wonder why other in this forum aren't signing it?

I signed it but likely people don't expect anything to happen so they aren't bothering.

Thanks @AJM90, thats awesome. Just gotta get the word out. 6 days into it, and 184 signatures. 250 will make it publicly searchable on whitehouse.gov

And Lars, it would be sad if our distrust of the system is why the system never changes.

We are up to 674 signatures as of 9:15 am EDT

I'm batting around 500 getting people to sign. Of course I'm cherry picking.

Not all people on this forum are US citizens...

Appreciated that not everyone is a us citizen. Regardless of your citizenship, you probably know US citizens that might be interested in the technology. We have had over 600 sign from 48 different states, but the growth model appears to be flattening out to a linear growth. That means without a big push, we will not receive 25000 signatures before nov 5th. I am trying, but my influence is narrowing.

I signed. I'm an American citizen but am living in Canada so I'm not sure how they verify who is a U.S. citizen and who isn't, I was not asked if I was a legal citizen.

Hopefully it works though, I'm in much support.

George
