Quick comment on startup fissile for IFR: quoting two different ¶s with discrepant numbers,

1. “First of all, depending on the specifics of the [fast] design, each one is going to take between 5-10 tonnes of fissile[Pu] …”

2. “Why does it only take one tonne of uranium-233 to start a thorium reactor but it takes 10-15 tonnes of Pu…”

Kirk, I remember David saying something like 8-18 t for Fast but only ~0.45 t for tube-in-tube LFTR – what a fantastic contrast !!
