The Swiss voted today in a referendum on the question whether Switzerland's nuclear power plants should be closed. The Green Party proposal to close the nuclear power plants was thrown out by the Swiss voters:

The current Swiss politics kills the nuclear plants by overregulation.

The costs /kWh of these power plants are currently at about 4c/kWh* nearly twice the number as achieved in the US. These costs are above the current costs of imported power from the EU. Nuclear needs a reduction in regulation to become healthy again. Otherwise they will become shut-down without stupid political decisions.

The referendum it self was initiated by the SP (socialists) and Green Party. These parties initiate plenty of referendums against private weapons, for higher minimum wages, higher taxes for the rich, 6 week minimum vacation, and usually lose these referendums. The main point against closing down nuclear was the climate hoax. That means one hoax was positioned against the other.

*Another important reason is the rising Swiss currency that makes swiss electricity expensive.
