Thermochemical storage via nanocoated salt

Post by Asteroza » Mar 13, 2019 9:17 pm

So this seems a bit odd and interesting, a thermochemical system using water and nanocoated salt. Heat input boils the saltwater and dries out the salt, returning the water causes an exothermic reaction. The nanocoating prevents salt particle clumping. Apparently the nanocoated salt has corrosion resistance properties as well.

500C output is nothing to laugh at, and the salt coating may be of interest in other applications.
