Natural gas / shale gas forecasts in Nature

Researchers from the University of Texas-Austin and the science journal Nature have bad news for the proponents of shale gas in the U.S.:

The forecasts of the EIA in the U.S. are deemed too optimistic and shale gas may already peak in the next decade according to this article. This will also have consequences for nuclear energy in the U.S., as many utilities such as Exelon are considering closing down nuclear power plants, citing the low price of natural gas. But how low will it be ten years down the line ?
