The infamous pro nuclear blogger and chemist, NNadir, has produced a long and interesting article that is published on Bravenewclimate:

current world energy demand, ethical world energy demand, depleted uranium and the centuries to come

Filled to the brink as usual with many interesting tidbits of scientific information yet also providing very good perspective on the nuclear travesties and misunderstandings of our time. All in the form of the usual, somewhat cynical, righteous anger style writing of NNadir.

Although I don't agree with him on various points, it is still an interesting article.

(I don't think he fully grasps the effect of energy being as cheap as nuclear can [probably] make it, what with the potential to decouple food production from land use almost entirely. Then the nuclear weapons stuff.)

Yes there are some disagreements I have as well, such as the usefulness of electric vehicles. No point arguing over this though. We'll find out soon enough with EVs booming so quickly in recent years.

What is most important about this essay, is the connection between ethics and energy policy. Nadir makes this pretty clear from the outset. It is truly infuriating to think about smug 'greens' living lives of comfort in an advanced Western country, condemning billions in Asia and Africa to short miserable lives.
